Hi,
I wanted to introduce myself. I go by Vikram and live in College Station, TX. Have been following football since 2000 (after moving to the USA) and NFL since 2003. At that time I lived in NC and for obvious reasons became a Carolina Panthers fan. The fact that they went to the 2004 Super Bowl helped. For some reason, I always admired new expansion teams (like the Panthers) and Texans was one of them although I wasn't directly rooting that time. With time I became somewhat disillusioned with the direction the Panthers were heading towards (bad drafting, bad coaching and obviously bad results) and since I moved to Texas in 2007, following a team from so far away (and limited TV coverage) became more and more challenging.
I have started following the Texans games on a regular basis since last year and now I have decided to officially become a fan. I like the way the team has gelled, have key players in every unit and most importantly play as a team. No superstars, no prima-donnas, no me-first mentality. I guess it is an effect of good aggressive coaching.
Looking forward to interacting with you all on a regular basis. This has been a good year so far, what do you think? In College Football, my team Texas A&M has exceeded expectations (may end up in a BCS bowl) and in the NFL, I am hoping the Texans will win their first Super Bowl. Let's keep up the good work.
