Seems like this is a lawsuit that's been waiting to happen.
Brett Hartmann, the former Houston Texans punter who was released earlier this year, has now sued the Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation and SMG, the company that manages Reliant Stadium. He claims that the torn ACL he suffered during the 2011 season was caused by a seam in the Reliant Stadium turf that results from the turf being grown in sections rather than as a whole.
The terrible nature of the turf at Reliant has been discussed repeatedly on BRB. Maybe now they'll actually fix the problem.
