The Texans have been exposed to be the frauds that they are.
They have some good players (Manning, Joseph, Smith, Barwin, Reed, O. Daniels, Casey), even a few great players (Foster, A. Johnson, Watt). But, a great team, they are not. Nor are they a true Super Bowl contender.
Schaub cannot throw a deep ball, see the under thrown pass to Casey (for a pick). He's under thrown deep balls all year, not only that, but they hang up in the air for what seems an eternity.
Schaub's not the only problem. Hey, he's better than many other "Super Bowl Winning" QBs. But, he's not good enough to overcome several offensive deficiencies. Our O-Line is laughable. Even Duane Brown is having a subpar year, by his standards, which is likely a result of how poorly the rest of the line has performed. Myers is solid, but both guard positions and the right tackle position are all playing at a below average level. Kubiak seems almost afraid to run the ball to the right, and defensive coordinators know it. That limits his play calling and makes him look worse than he already is.
The defense is another issue. What happened to Wade's magic? Has our entire defense really gone from top 5 to bottom quarter of the league just because of the loss of Cushing? Well, A. What did I say about trading DeMeco Ryans? I said that if Cushing went down, and / or was suspended, who would play that position? It sure would have been nice to plug Ryans back in there when Cush did go down. Dobbins is a good player when the play is in front of him. However, in passing situations he is a liability. James is a liability waiting to happen. We don't have a linebacker on our roster that would be starting for another playoff team... I point to the GM for that issue. Where was Manning on that 3rd & 23 conversion for a TD? If I'm right, he wasn't even on the field... Our secondary is just ridiculous. Sure, Joseph is good. Quinn can hit with the best of them Manning is decent. But, as far as coverage... well, we don't.
