Texans Off-season/Draft Haiku
Sometimes the best things are said in 17 syllables or less. Got this idea from local radio, but I challenge you to put together your projections, hopes, and dreams into a 5-7-5 Haiku to give perspective to this hectic off-season for the Texans.
To the football gods;
Why do you hate the Texans?
Lisfranc break, really?
------
Many draft options,
First round pick should be any-
thing but receivers.
-----
This Haiku is for you, sir.
Please don't ask for raise.
------
Enjoy.

Hi, Ku!
Arian Foster
Like poetry in motion
Namaste, good sir
A sharp tongue is the only edged tool that grows keener with constant use.--Washington Irving
Draft Day is coming
Free Agents’ needs are many,
Smithiak reasons
Offense and Defense
were impressive last season
The War Room’s abuzz
One thing is certain
Special Teams cost us the prize
Bengals were beaten
The Ravens were up
Texans fans were all cheering
One play just killed us
Bobbles and blunders
Was one game not a season
and the ship was sunk
A short jerky motion
a mind that knows no judgment
Jacoby must go
The future is bright
Watt, Reed, Barwin are all young
the core is still tight
And there are others
Mario is a worry
his future’s not known
Schaubby will bounce back
and, Demeco is the glue
Foster has big plans
And what can you say
on Cushing, he’s everywhere
and Ninja, he’s stealth
AJ is with us
his future is still ahead
and Joseph is cool
Bring on 20-12
the Coors Light is on ice
BRB is there!
