Saturday Night's Alright For Commenting: BRB Open Thread (02/25/12)
In lieu of tying an onion to your belt, let us make Saturday night open threads the style of the time. Discuss whatever you're up to or thinking about on this fine Saturday evening, Texans-related or not. Maybe you want to chat about Arian Foster. Maybe you want to talk about what tents you're hitting for the Cookoff. Maybe you want to elaborate upon the pros (because there are no cons) to drinking Snapple.
You are the captain of this ship. Except that the community guidelines are always in effect, so use your good judgment in what you post for public consumption.

Yup.
Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.
Never use a long word where a short one will do.
If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.
Never use the passive where you can use the active.
Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word, or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.

Best guess on whos getting cut and who gets restructured?
What do y’all think?
OD and Meco get restructured.
Allen is gone, Matty light will be a late preseason cut.

So after Jeffery measured out yesterday I
don’t think he will make it down to us in the first. Wouldn’t be suprised if he is first receiver taken

Blackmon #1
I hope Sanu combine goes well. He’s highlight reel is a beast. I woulda if he can be that agressive on Sundays???
by KingLaBove on Feb 25, 2012 6:14 PM CST up reply actions 1 recs
Just saying.
Justin Blackmon officially measured 6-foot,7/8" and 207 pounds. Would be smallest receiver taken in top ten since Ted Ginn (2007).

Damn
Thanks for the info bro, I didn’t realize how short he was. The draft is deep this year with WR. I wonder if Jeffery, and Sanu are both off the board, who would Rick Smith and Special K draft?

Streeter?
I wouldn’t take Streeter til mid second/early third…if I had to rank the WR’s in the draft
Blackmon
Floyd
Wright
Jefferys
Randle
Toon
Sanu
Hill (I want him in the second with a burning passion)
Streeter
Criner
Adams
Broyles
Depends how fast he runs
Some reports say he’ll run in the 4.3 range. That could make him jump up really high on the boards, especially if he looks good on the rest of his drills

No way Jeffery makes it out of the top-10.
Did you see how he measured? He jumped ahead of Blackmon in my opinion.
by bantams28 on Feb 25, 2012 6:56 PM CST via Android app up reply actions
No way. Blackmon is still ahead of Jeffery, but he might have fallen out of the top 10.
Blackmon looked small standing next to Marshall Faulk on NFLN. He is definitely not another A. J. Green, let alone another Megatron.

Jeffery doesn't just measure but look at his production in college.
And Rams will take a WR. No way no WR’s are taken in top 10.

If Smith and Kubiak stay true to BPA
I don’t think we get a WR in the first round. I think one guy who is going to fly up the boards by his combine performance is Zach Brown. Plus if we can’t keep Mario they will look for a pure pass rusher. I think we get our WR in the second.
