The Assistant Offensive Line Coach is gone (Frank Pollack)

Assisting Texans offensive line coach John Benton can pay huge dividends. Frank Pollack, who was the assistant offensive line coach the last five years, has been hired as the offensive line coach at Oakland. He joins Greg Knapp, the Texans’ quarterback coach who was hired as the Raiders’ offensive coordinator under new coach Dennis Allen. Last year, Bruce Matthews, who also served as an assistant under Benton, was hired as Tennessee’s offensive line coach. Benton, who has done a terrific job coaching the offensive line under Gary Kubiak, is regarded as one of the best in the league. Kubiak is looking for a quarterbacks coach. He’s talking to former Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach Karl Dorrell about the job. Now he’ll be in the market for another assistant to replace Pollack.
