Following up on GatorTD's post about Jacoby Jones' contract, and in light of recent FA signings, I think we can answer the following question: "Is Jacoby Jones' contract actually a good one?"
- Jacoby Jones: $3.5m/yr (3 years / $10.50 million)
- Pierre Garcon: $8.5m/yr (5 years / $42.5 million, $21.5 million guaranteed)
- Josh Morgan: $6m/yr ($12 million over the first two years, with $7.5 million guaranteed)
Considering the silly contracts Washington is giving out to WRs, Jacoby's contract is looking like a pretty good deal. Sure, I might rather have Garcon over Jones, but not that much more, and I certainly wouldn't say I want Morgan over Jones.
