What if the Texans got a guy at CB to replace KJ? Someone with experience. Someone who can hang with the best number two wide receivers on every team. He could help have single coverage on a team's top two wide receivers and therefore allow our safeties to help swallow up either the running game, or tight ends (which we had some troubles with this past season).
Yes, a second wide receiver is needed on this team. We could get that in the draft. Several of them, in fact. But we've seen how a rookie corner back can have issues. Why not get someone that can start immediately?
Why not attempt to sign Cortland freaking Finnegan? Are his character issues big enough for our FO to automatically write him off? I don't think they are.
Go ahead, begin the hate. Now imagine a rookie WR going against him in practice every day. Which would you prefer? Learning the ropes against Innegan, or Jackson?
