Chad Reuter's complete 7 Round Mock Draft (by Team)

Stay connected for news and updates

Chad Reuter of NFL.com has compiled a complete mock draft. The story can be found here. I know, most of us are very sick of these mocks and just want to see the real thing. However, this is interesting because it gives a little more insight on where some of the "experts" have pegged prospects without a first round grade. Reuter awards your Houston Texans with these picks:

1 (26) Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford
2 (58) Alameda Ta'amu, DT, Washington
3 (76) Casey Hayward, CB, Vanderbilt
4 (99) Greg Childs, WR, Arkansas
4 (121) Nigel Bradham, LB, Florida State
5 (161) James Hanna, TE, Oklahoma
6 (195) Vick Ballard, RB, Mississippi State
7 (233) Blair Walsh, K, Georgia

My initial reaction: Meh. About the same as learning the news that we lost Neil Rackers in free agency. I love the Martin pick, and Childs could represent some great value in the fourth. Other than that, I'm disappointed with lack of O-Line in the middle rounds and lack of pass rush overall. We know Smithiak and Wade will be looking to address depth at OLB and probably DE as well.

Other prospects of note: Marvin McNutt taken in the 6th, Alfonzo Dennard fell to the 5th round, David Molk in the 5th, and Vontaze Burfict imploded to become a 7th round prospect.
