Houston Texans Announce 2012 Open Training Camp Practices

Stay connected for news and updates

The main attraction for this year's training camp...kicker battle!

The Houston Texans, via the Mothership, have announced their open training camp dates. Like last season, six practices will be open to the public. Unlike last year, the Texans will knock out their open dates within the first week of camp.

Training camp, which starts on Saturday, July 28, will be open to the public on that first date as well as the following five: Sunday, July 29; Monday, July 30; Wednesday, August 1; Friday, August 3; and Saturday, August 4.

It’s another season of early morning dates, so you can speculate that the franchise is trying to derail any massive crowds, especially given the buzz surrounding the 2012 squad, and also minimize heat exposure for fans. The gates at the Methodist Training Center will open at 7am on each day and practice will be from 8-10am.

You can find parking and day theme information at the page linked here. Free Tickets will be available on HoustonTexans.com starting this Wednesday (the 18th) at 8am CT.

Are there any BRB faithful already making plans to attend one or all six of these sessions?
