Jonathan Grimes, caught in a numbers crunch at RB for the Houston Texans, was signed by the New York Jets today.
Many Texans fans were worried that Jonathan Grimes would be snapped up by some enterprising team with a need at RB when he didn't survive the final round of cuts a few weeks ago. We all exhaled in relief when he made it through waivers and to the Texans' practice squad.
We exhaled too soon. News out of Jersey is that the Jets signed Grimes off the Texans' practice squad today. Awwww, bullcorn!
While this is a bummer for Texans fans (Grimes flashed some real potential in the preseason games), it's great news for Jonathan and his family. Best of luck to him in New Jersey.
