Texans CB Johnathan Joseph Returns To Practice To The Joy Of Houston Fans

Per Gary Kubiak’s post-practice press conference, 52 Houston Texans took their full allotment of practice snaps, including star shutdown cornerback Johnathan Joseph. Texans fans everywhere can all breathe a deep sigh of relief.

Joseph had missed two straight practices with a groin injury, but Kubiak declared him good to go. "I thought that’s where we were heading, but you never know until we get there," said Kubiak.
Gary, how do you know where you were going without ever knowing the way? Back on track, Kubiak expects everyone to be available, except for recovering wide receiver LeStar Jean.

Coach Kubiak also said that offensive right tackle
Ryan Harris will rotate every third series, or so, with Derek Newton. He is expected to get 20-25 plays this Sunday when the Texans host the Tennessee Titans.

Johnathan Joseph Misses Thursday's Practice Due To Groin Injury, Expected To Play Sunday

We have gone from no need to panic to the slightest of concerns, only because of the alternative mentioned.

All Pro cornerback Johnathan Joseph was
expected to practice today, but his groin was still sore. Joseph was the only Texan not to practice, aside from the recovering LeStar Jean. Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak does believe that Joseph will play on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Do you want to know about the aforementioned mentioned alternative?
Per Kubiak, if Joseph cannot play then Alan Ball’s reps pick up and Brandon Harris slides into the dime cornerback role. Do not worry, if you cringed at the mention of Ball’s name then you are not alone.

Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips tried to ease nerves
by saying Ball had "two or three interceptions in practice today" and that they were confident in his ability to play. While I trust Wade, I remember seeing Ball struggle against second- and third-stringers. Joseph’s groin will be on the mind of every Texans fan as we head towards Sunday’s game.
