So the Texans are the popular pick for AFC South and to at least get to the AFC Championship game.
This scares the hell out of me.
If you look at the Texans final record from last year they only had a one game advantage over the Titans when the final gun sounded. They also have a new right side of the line, rookie WRs...you know the details as well (if not better) than I.
So what happens if they lose on Sunday? What if Chris Johnson leads the league this year in rushing and Locker is able to hook up just enough with Kenny Britt and end up winning our division?
Maybe it's the fact that I've been a Houston sports fan for all of my 32 short years. I just can't help but cringe every time I read another article mentioning the Texans as AFC favorites.
So taking a step back for a moment. Especially after the Cowgirls pulled off an upset last night. what if this season completely goes to hell? Kubiak's play calling gets ultra conservative, Matt Schaub becomes as accurate as VY, Arian Foster is slower and weaker due to the vegan diet (this Texas red-meat lovin' guy had to say it), the defense takes the (previously disputed) 2nd year drop...what if they don't even make the play offs?
Sometimes being a Houston fan just sucks. Hopefully this team will have another year or two in a row of success and get rid of this nervous anxiety a lot of us get every time Houston has a popular team.
