Alright fellow BRBers after a bittersweet taste left in your mouth after a disappointing end to the season, it's time to start looking into the future. And what better way to do that than by drafting a new franchise player. WARNING: THESE ARE MY PREDICTIONS TO WHO WILL BE AVAILABLE THEY MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITH GREAT OR POOR COMBINE PERFORMANCES.
Jordan Poyer CB, Oregon State- I'm starting this off with my favorite DB in the draft. Jordan who at 6-0, is a big, smart, physical corner who, if we draft, can make KJax move into the slot. The All-American tallied 113 tackles, 3 sacks, 7TFLs, & 13 interceptions throughout his career with the Beavers.
Corey Lemonier DE/OLB, Auburn- The big bad junior from Auburn can strike fear into an offense just by looking at them. Thats not hard to do when you're 6-4 240 lbs. He looks like he can put up moster stats in this defense alongside JJ Watt. The Auburn monster didn't have eye popping stats this year with only 34 tackles, 5.5 sacks, but was named Second Team All ACC. Throughout his career he tallied 98 tackles, 17 sacks, 24 TFLs, and 33 quarterback hurries.
Tyler Eifert TE, Notre Dame- First off let me just say this, he wore No.80 so you know he's smart. Although this pick seems highly unlike me let me ask y'all something. Would you rather have the Texans get the 3rd or 4th best receiver in the draft or the No.1 tight end in here. The senior 6-6 251lb tight end was the biggest threat in the Notre Dame offense, snagging 50 catches for 685 yds & 4 TDs. The All-American was a Mackey Award finalist 2 years in a row, winning it this year. For his career he caught 140 passes for 1840 yds and 11 TDs.
