Schaub knows he and his teammates didn't have their best stuff in the first meeting against the Patriots, he's looking forward to a second shot at the defending AFC champions.
The Houston Texans haven't been on top of their game since the middle of December.
After needing overtime to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions, the Texans defeated the Tennessee Titans before getting throttled by the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football in Week 14. Houston went on to lose two of its last three games, missing out on a first-round bye in the playoffs after starting the season 11-1.
The Texans survived the first round of the playoffs, narrowly beating the Cincinnati Bengals to set up a rematch with the same Patriots that smoked the Texans 42-14 last month.
Texans quarterback Matt Schaub acknowledged his team's recent struggles in an interview with KILT in Houston. Schaub said he and his teammates didn't play like they are capable of playing and that they are looking to ?right the ship" this weekend against the Patriots.
The Texans and Patriots kick off on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.
