Because of modern technology, injury news like this can get out quickly and it has. In today's game, the Kansas City Chiefs were in the red zone and Texans' inside linebacker Brian Cushing came free on a blitz up the middle. Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles cut Cushing as he stormed through the hole; Cushing laid limp after the play was over. Consequently, Cushing was carted off, unable to put any weight on his left leg. The results are already in and it appears that Cushing will be out for the year because of a torn LCL and broken leg.
