It's Friday and you know what that means... injury news. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is the "Where art thou Duane Brown?" watch has ended and it appears he will play Sunday night. That will probably mean a Derek Newton/Ryan Harris split on the right side of the line, similar to how they gave Ben Jones a few series for Wade Smith last week. Andre Johnson and Brian Cushing should play again as well.
The dreadful news? Brandon Brooks will miss Sunday's game. Justin Smith is jiggling with glee somewhere in San Francisco. Brooks was tearing up defensive linemen this season and you could claim either him or Chris Myers has been the Texans' best offensive lineman this year. Consequently, everyone's favorite ginger, Ben Jones, will likely get the start Sunday.
Evidence I'm not making this up:
Kubiak is here. Duane Brown looks good to go for Sunday. Andre Johnson should unless he has a setback. #Texans— Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli) October 4, 2013
Andre Johnson said his shin swelled a bit and since last week's plan worked so well for him to play, they followed same this week. #Texans— Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli) October 4, 2013
Kubiak: " Duane will play and Cushing is cleared and good for SF . Brooks is out" #texans— Randy McIlvoy (@RandyMcIlvoy) October 4, 2013
