Kubiak and Schaub and... well the rest of them...

Well Ladies and Gents, here we are at the bottom of the barrel of a wonderful football season. I do have to say something to clear my own personal conscience though. Kubes and Schaub are getting the well deserved question marks (if I must be kind and friendly about it). I myself made a remark in last weeks game thread which should rightly have been viewed as in bad taste regarding Kubiak's health. I'll own it. However, prior to my crucifixion, let me state that in my previous life I was a medic (anyone who has functioned in the emergency medical field can and will relate). We thrived on piss poor humor in regards to patients and health in general.

So this is my mea culpa. We and the media are giving them a great deal of grief. Rightly so I may add based upon job performance. And yeah I'm gonna be the proverbial tree-hugger here. They are still people. Bob does need to fire Gary, it's just that simple. He's not performed to standards. Schaub needs to be cut, he's failed to perform to standards as well. But that is the end of it. It's just a business decision. But that's the end of it. They are both pretty good guys that made a few bad decisions. They have both done tons to bolster this community.

I do not recall hearing a news story showing Matt toking down a fatty on local 2 (personally feel required to watch that station because of Sachse but that's just me). I don't remember hearing of Kubiak slapping his lady or kids around. As best I can recall, both have really made full efforts to try and make Houston a little bit of a better town. They are still people. And not the kind you generally find in Huntsville (Go Kats Go). I myself am grateful for the effort both have made to our team and our community. I'm not trying to be an apologist, but it is what it is. BOTH have done some really good things for us, yet we seem to be quick to dismiss that.

All I ask is that prior to sending them out on burning horse-drawn carts is keep that in mind. Each is done in Houston in regards to professional football, there's not doubt of that. But, Let's not tighten the noose too tightly. How about we do the respectable thing and say thank you for your time and effort here. Your services here, however, are no longer required here. Thank you very much though, we certainly appreciate it. The flogging may now begin. I did preview this and if there are no paragraph breaks, sorry. I'm not Harry Potter and don't know how to make that happen, but I tried.
