I feel like this needs to be said and I know a lot of people are going to get hyped up over this issue and be mad at me. The national media is on to something about Johnny Manziel and the Houston Texans. I am starting to see mock drafts with the Texans taking him as well. If the Houston Texans do wind up drafting Johnny Manziel and he does become the starting QB of the Houston Texans, I am pretty sure that most of you will still be fans of the Texans. The ones that say I will stop watching the Texans play if that happens are not true fans and I don’t want them to be here (Go be a fan of the Cowboys or some other sorry team).
I will be honest I did not know a thing about Johnny when he first came on the scene last year. I didn’t even know who he was until I watched the Alabama game and I was in shock. What he did to supposedly the NFL Caliber defense of the Alabama Crimson Tide was amazing. I understand there are a lot of fans out there that hate Johnny Manziel with a passion. I have heard all of the stories about how he is a major jerk and I understand that. If you hate him for that then I can accept your opinion. One thing is for certain though…Johnny Manziel is one of the most talented QB in all of college football. I think he is better than Teddy Bridgewater, better than Derek Carr, better than David Fales, better than AJ McCarron, and better than any other QB besides maybe Jameis Winston. If the Texans take any of these guys I will understand and as long as they perform on the field I will be fine with those picks as well. People who knock him because he went to Texas A&M are retarded. He wanted to go to UT but Mack Brown rejected him. How good is the UT QB right now? I know UT fans wouldn't say this publicly but I am pretty sure they would want Manziel on their team instead of Case McCoy right now.

If the Texans do take Johnny Manziel with their first pick in the draft, wherever it ends up falling, I won’t complain, I know that he has a lot of upside. There are plenty of people who criticize him for every little thing. Some of the criticism I totally understand and other criticisms are totally unjustifiable. I have heard many people complain about his height and weight, they think can’t throw, he is just like Tim Tebow, and he runs too much. Hasn't it been proven already that height and weight are overrated when it comes to evaluating a football player? I can name a list of a ton of players that are short and have been/are successful in the NFL. Obviously not going to do that because it’s been done before. If you have watched Johnny play at all this year than you will see how much of an improvement to his game, that he has made in throwing the football and reading defenses as well. People who compare him to Tim Tebow are baseless in that accusation because he is a much better athlete and can throw the damn football 1000000000000 times better than Tebow ever could. I definitely don’t want the Texans taking Johnny Manziel with the number 1 overall pick but if they trade back and he is there and they take him then that is fine by me. If you hate Manziel because he had off the field issues last summer get over it. What 20 year old hasn't had their issues? Everyone has issues that they need to address. That being said if he goes and gets arrested for whatever reason or gets accused of sexually assaulting a woman like Jameis Winston did, then that is a whole other issue. Until then though why don’t we just evaluate a player based on his talent and football IQ alone and not how he lives his life. Hate him or love him you can’t deny that the guy is a talented player. If he wasn't talented than NFL scouts would not have him going in the top fifteen in this years draft.
