Shaun Cody, perhaps asking himself the same question posed by the poll. - Brett Davis-US PRESSWIRE
A bar bet was made on the topic. Which side do you stand on--the side that sees Shaun Cody re-signing with the Texans, or the side that declares his days as a Houston Texan are done?
Last week, I sat down for drinks with the illustrious Chris of Houston Diehards and world renowned Football Outsiders media personality Rivers McCown. Upon completion of a spirited debate about whether neoclassical architecture had truly rebounded in the 21st century, our attention turned to a certain Houston Texan that has been the center of debate among fans for the last few years: Shaun Cody.
Shaun Cody is set to become a free agent. He also recently underwent back surgery and just turned 30 years old. Chris believes Cody has played his last snap as a Texan. Rivers believes the Texans will re-sign Cody. Much to my amusement, each felt sufficiently confident about his position to wager on the outcome with the other. Though no money is involved, to say the stakes are high is an understatement.
I promised both gentlemen that I would author a post about their wager so we could see what the masses thought. Thus, I invite you to vote in the poll below and to explain why you believe what you do in the Comments below.
