EJ Manuel - Florida State, 6-4.3, 237...Has the size and athleticism that NFL teams are looking for at the quarterback position...has big hands - 10 1/8" and long arms 35"...has one of the strongest arms in the draft, is very accurate and has good touch on his passes...has very good leadership skills and has worked hard at improving his game....is able to avoid the rush and make things happen with his feet when the play breaks down...is hard to bring down because of his size...his play was hampered at times due to inexperienced offensive line play which allowed too much pressure on him...played in a spread option offense that seemed to lack an identity....All in all - Manuel has been flying under the radar for most of the season until his performance at the Senior Bowl made draftniks take notice...however, he's been on the radar of NFL teams all along and should be able to realize his potential at the next level when put in a better position to succeed...Manuel will be one of the top quarterbacks to come off the board in the 2013 NFL Draft, since teams covet QB's with his size, athleticism, accuracy and upside.
I don't think they'll do it, but I'd move up in the second and grab him. Sounds very Kaepernickian. Thoughts?
