I want to combine my passion for food, specifically "football game day food" with my passion for all things Texans.
An idea I have is to post a weekly blog video that shows how to create a cost-friendly game day menu that features foods you'd see if you visited our weekly opponent's region. Example: When we play the Chargers, the food style in the San Diego area is very different than the TexMex of Texas...which means I'd show how to make authentic fish tacos with the slaw and baja lime cilantro sauce that tops it. When we play the Colts, I'd show how to prepare horse meat, Titans would be roadkill, and Jags would be tarp cobbler (just kidding).
The key thing is that it would give variety to making game day food, rather than always doing the hot dogs, nachos, or buffalo wings "boring" food choices, etc. For example, I've got a post at www.tff.postagon.com that I created yesterday that details what to prepare for Friday's preseason game vs. Vikings.
The menu ideas each week will be simple and cost-friendly, but will give some creative alternative that ties in our weekly opponent. I'm not trying to become famous, I just felt like doing something for fun that might add to the game day experience for some people. Plus, I'd want contributions from fellow fans: Recipe ideas, reviews of the meals each week, etc.
What this be something I could share as a FanPost or would it be laughed at? I don't want to produce something that doesn't fly with the fans. I gots pride y'all.
