The Houston Texans obviously have a huge hole at the Quarterback position heading into the 2014 offseason. Many people have them taking a QB in the first round of this year's NFL draft. However an old but new rumor has come back around.
It seems that the Texans are talking to the New England Patriots about acquiring Ryan Mallett for a third round pick and taking Jadaveon Clowney with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft. The Texans are probably just exhausting all of their options before the NFL draft in finding a QB that can actually play this year or it could just be a smokescreen of some kind.
On the Ryan Mallett-Houston rumors that are out there … Source says that the interest is real, but nothing is definite.— Nick Underhill (@Nick_Underhill) March 9, 2014
I would be shocked if a trade were made, but I am not against it if the price is right. What do you guys think? Will he be a good fit for us or not? For a link to the rumor click here.
