2014 NFL Draft: First Round Open Thread Part II

J. Meric

The debate is over! Jadeveon Clowney is a Texan. Now comes the hard part...waiting until we pick again tomorrow. Follow the rest of tonight's action live on Battle Red Blog!

I'm still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor as I write this after Jacksonville just selected Blake Bortles third overall. Clowney at one? Perfect. Robinson at two? Fine. Blake Bortles at three? Oh, Jaguars...

Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. Watt won't be introducing themselves to their Floridian division rivals until week 14 of next season, so it is not out of the question that Bortles will be getting some playing time by that point. Talk about a welcoming committee to the National Football League. Yeesh.

Picks So Far

1. Houston Texans - Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina

2. St. Louis Rams - Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn

3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida

4. Buffalo Bills [Via Cleveland] - Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson

5. Oakland Raiders - Khalil Mack, OLB, Buffalo

This is your second open thread of the night. Grab some wings, chug some beer, and enjoy yourselves, BRB.
