TEXANS QB FOR 2015 IS 100% Tom Brady

This is bold, but makes sense. Texans give up 2015 and 2016 first round picks, and maybe a 2nd in either year. Patriots sacrifice about 2 years of him playing for two first round picks. Pats end up with something like #10-18 pick and 40'something for 2015, a first for 2016 if they need ammo to grab QB. They would rather wait for 2016, but Texans could force it. OB could leach out another 4 years if Brady doesn't fall apart physically like Schaub. We have the talent on defense to be top 5 for the next 4 years ( if we can solidify cb ). We would have Dre,Hopkins, Arian, young offensive line that might need a few pieces. Some young TE's.

I hope Jimmy is killing it in practice. If they feel he is the future, both teams could set themselves up perfectly. We would have a solid 3 year run at a super bowl, and New England could grab 2-3 elite players from us. Hell, they could probably manage to get our #1 for three consecutive years if Brady starts an X amount of games for us. Give up the 2017 first if he ended the 2016 season as starting qb. New England could take those picks and turn it into 6-8 top 40 drafted players in a few years. Talking about elite talent at 6-8 positions. Could build an entire offensive and defensive line, all while preserving their original picks. If they end up liking Jimmy and think he is the future, they will ransom Brady to build that elite team around him. In two years New England could be the most talented team in the NFL.

I think the Texans would be one of the handful of teams who it would make perfect sense to get gouged for him. We get one of THE QB's, though past his prime, to plug into a very young and talented team. I think our defense is going to be unreal after this year. I'm expecting a four year run that resembles some of those Baltimore teams. Now plug in an over the hill Brady, who can still function at a top 1/4 NFL QB. All the ingredients are there. Smith just has to gamble. He could lose his job over it, if he pushed for it, and something bad happened like one mediocre year ended by injury from Brady, and we get our top level draft talent stolen for a few years. I think it's worth the gamble. About 50/50 we win SB one year in three, if we have a functioning Brady for three years.

So somebody make this happen. Execute the plan in 7 months.
