The Houston Texans' defense has been devastating the last four games as the Texans have clawed their way back into the playoff race. Sunday, they were downright historic.
The Texans broke two active touchdown streaks in their 24-6 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at NRG Stadium. Coming into the game with the Texans, the Saints held the longest active streak of games with a touchdown at 145, and quarterback Drew Brees held the longest active individual streak for consecutive games with at least one touchdown pass with 45 (12/09/2012-11/29/2015). Those streaks came to an end yesterday.

The Texans held the Saints to 268 total yards of offense, including 228 passing yards from Brees. At one point, Houston cornerback Kareem Jackson intercepted a Brees pass at the goal line, and the Texans prevented another touchdown on fourth down in the fourth quarter to hold the shutout.
Brees still holds the longest active streak of games with a touchdown in the NFL with 54 (10/18/2009-11/25/2012). Sunday's game against the Texans marked only the second time in 101 games that Brees hasn't thrown a touchdown.
