Texans Sign Bethel Johnson

PrintUmmmmm...hurrah? Call me pessimistic, but I don't see Bethel Johnson answering our prayers at the No. 2 WR spot. I'd be excited about the possibility of him contributing in the return game, except that it would seem that said area is awfully full right now with Jacoby Jones, Jerome Mathis, Apostrophe Davis, Dexter Wynn, etc. Best case scenario, I would think, is that Johnson contributes on special teams and lines up in the slot on occasion. While I think it's pretty unlikely that he even makes the team, you never know. Best of luck, Bethel.

On a related note, Jerome Solomon stated the obvious this morning by opining that the Texans' receiving corps still leaves much to be desired.
