Rick Smith: Not So Bad After All?

31

Corzo: This stat surprised me quite a bit, so I thought I'd share.

Seeing Rick Smith up there surprised me. Seeing Jerry Jones up there did not since fan voting determines Pro Bowl rosters... and the Cowboys have a locust swarm of a fan base.

Any thoughts on this, Texans fans?

Watt restructures contract, frees up 8 Million in cap space

32
Per Field Yates on Twitter, J.J. Watt has agreed to turn his 10 million dollar roster bonus into a signing bonus, which will be spread out among his cap hits for the remaining years of he extended deal. Newton Gives Up #75 To Wilfork, Hoyer To Wear #7

When a future Hall of Famer joins your team and happens to wear the same number as you, it's pretty much a given you're going to give it up.

1) Jamming to "Wanna be a Baller" by Houston's very own Li'l Troy
2) Smoking some pork ribs in a homemade smoker
3) Generally having a whale of a time

Yep, I think it's safe to say that freshly-signed gargantuan Vince Wilfork will fit in quite nicely here in Houston.

Hat tip to Jerome Solomon for linking this on Twitter.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that former Texans safety Kendrick Lewis has reached an agreement to join the Ravens. Lewis started all sixteen games for the Texans at safety in 2014, after signing a one-year deal with Houston in the offseason.

Texans "Moving Closer" To Signing Rahim Moore

57

This would likely be a decently hefty contract for one of the better players in Free Agency, but it would fill a huge need for the team.

Kendrick Lewis and Danieal Manning are free agents, leaving D.J. Swearinger and Eddie Pleasant as the two most experienced safeties left.

No idea on the terms of the new contract for Tarpinian.
