Monster Rain: Texans 17, Jaguars 168. The Game Recap

Dear Everyone,

Son of a bitch.

Love,

Liston

p.s. I hate my life.

p.p.s. If you don't know what "monster rain" is, just google that shit. It's a wonderful microcosm of this week's game.

p.p.p.s. I think we've all been critical of Gary Kubiak in the past but how can you possibly not recognize him is a super genius now? I mean, how do you explain his ability to completely revert the team back to the 2005 model? I'll tell you how. He invented a time machine and went back in time, that's how. Like it or not, that makes him a genius.

P.P.P.P.S
Fuck.

In trying to rationalize this loss, I think we(and by that I mean the bunch of us) got that little taste of success we have been waiting six years for and it was good. Everyting was finally clicking. 75 yards and a TD from our RB1 was going to be just fine with 250 and 2 from our new QB1. Defense looked solid even with our two back-to-back first round busts.

Then the wheels came off. Too many injuries for a team that sorely lacked depth. What the fuck play calling. Getting inside the 2 friggin yard line more than we have in 3 years and coming away with shit.

I think I realize now what I thought at the beginning of the year is pretty much reality. We would be much improved, have average guys fill in at key positions because we were all fucked up salary cap wise, and 8-8 was going to be reason to celebrate. We were all teased and left with blue balls.

This team is on the right track, however, I have to take a big bite of that shit reality sandwich. The wild card dreams and thoughts of being this year's Saints will have to wait till next year. There is much work to be done (a mother fucking running back first and foremost) and sadly, I have crashed back down to earth.

Sorry for the wordy post, but I thought it fit appropriately in Liston's right on the money (as usual) recap.

That pretty much sums it up
And to help with your blue balls, you could always invite Liston over for a Monster Rain.
We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.
