Around SBN: Interview With UMD Athletic Director, Dr. Debbie Yow

Fred Weary Is Gonna Get His, HPD

I think we all knew this was in the cards as soon as news of the incident broke.  The fuzz cannot taze Fred Weary and expect to get away from it.  It's downright unconstitutional.  Seriously, look it up.  I'm pretty sure it's the 84th amendment.  Still, you have to admit the visual of our 300 pound starting RG yelping, "Don't tase me, bro!" is comedy gold.

The most disturbing part?  This isn't even close to as terrifying as Weary's other brush with the law over the summer.  Egad.

Comedy gold?
I don't know, that was pretty fucked up. Did that kid sue?

Absolutely
He sued.  And for the record, I meant that the visual of Fred Weary yelping "Don't tase me, bro!" made me laugh.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Taser!
I think, if I remember correctly (and I am too effing lazy to look it up), the kid admitted his guilt of basically being an arsehole.  So, the suit is done.

Seriously, as a well-proven DFH, the kid deserved to get kicked out.  The taser?  Maybe not.  But he was acting like a total jerk.

(I had to re-write my response like 15 times to make it clean)

Re: Re-writing
Why the fuck would you do that?

I don't
mean to stir the pot and get into a political screed or anything, but it is for reasons such as that that I am a Libertarian and am voting for Ron Paul in 2008.

re:
I don't think having Ron Paul in charge would've made a lick of difference.

True
The only way to avoid this is to vote for Fred Weary.  That way, he will have Secret Service folks to jump in front of the taser darts.
We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.
