Disturbing Pattern Continues: Ahman Green Out For Sunday's Game

Son of a ....  This is getting ridiculous.  At this rate, I'm in favor of Ahman simply getting that entire leg amputated. Only because, you know, I don't know how one would simply amputate a knee.

Ron Dayne:  Our lonely city turns its eyes to you.  Woo woo woo.

If ever there was a good time to have a breakout game....
We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

Million Dollar Question
Dare I start Ron Dayne on my fantasy team this week?  I have two (2) RBs and a flex position.  The candidates at RB are:

W. Parker (definite start)
J. Norwood (may not even play, and Warrick Dunn continues to steal his carries)
C. Benson (awful, but he's good for 15 points every week because he'll still get 28 carries)
R. Dayne (you know the issues here)

I'm loathe to start a WR at the flex position, but I do have Shaun McDonald sitting on the bench.

So it comes down to this--Dayne, Norwood, or McDonald?  I'm leaning toward starting Dayne.  What is wrong with me?

Re: Selvin
Unfortunately, he was picked up weeks ago by someone else.  It's a 14 team league, so pickings are slim at nearly every position.

Re: Re: Selvin
And actually...I'm playing the team that picked him up this week.  Here's hoping that Tr. Henry starts for Denver on Sunday.

Go With Your Head
Though I think The Schaub will play well, you have to think Brees is going to have a HUGE game.

Anthony Thomas
Marshawn Lynch might be out this week. Pick up Anthony Thomas if you want ~70 yards. I remain pissed off that I dropped Chester Taylor a few weeks ago.

Re: Anthony Thomas
Again, he was picked up weeks ago.  It's a freaking feeding frenzy in my league.

other options
try for chester taylor or ryan grant (packers' new back who put up over 100 on Minny's stingy run D, going against weakened Carolina tomorrow)

Debate...
So I passed on Dre in my fantasy league to take Ahman Green. Don't ask me why; I guess I thought Schaub wouldn't put up a statistically solid season and he'd spread the ball around to OD and Jacoby.

That said, when you factor in injuries, which pick would have sucked more in retrospect? With Dre, at least I would have known to start some scrub #3 receiver like Bobby Engram in his place. With Ahman though, I'd run the risk of starting him every week then watching him hobble off the field in the first quarter and not return.

Oh, and I picked up Selvin Young about six weeks ago when the news about Henry's suspension came up. He single-handedly carried me to victory last week even though I started him thinking he'd be splitting carries. That's how bad my RB situation is.

Dre or Ahman
Hmmmmm...I guess I'd have to think that picking Ahman sucks more.  Even when he's been available, he's done nothing.  And judging from Kubes' remarks, he might not suit up again this season.  While 'Dre hasn't played for nearly two months, you have to think he's going to post strong numbers over the last half of the season.

On, and Bobby Engram...that guy singlehandedly won a game for me a couple of weeks ago by posting 33.8 points by himself.  Do not besmirch his good name.
