Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Cleveland 27, Houston 17

Man...what a frustrating game to watch.  Final box score here.  As noted philosopher-king Steve Tasker reminded viewers on at least nine (9) separate occasions, turnovers make it hard to win football games.  Insight like that is why the "mute" button was invented.

Yes, I'm projecting and/or venting.  I realize the CBS broadcast team isn't responsible for today's disappointing setback.  I'll have a far more even-handed assessment later tonight or tomorrow.

Clevland Game
Well, I watched the game with few distractions, and my thoughts, and the thoughts of the fan that watched it with me, were: Poor coaching. Especially on offense..bad play calling..I'll be glad that A&M gets our offensive coordinator, and hopefully soon.  Pathetic attempt to pad the stats when it was too late to win.  Way too little, way too late.  Schaub, as always, or at least, frequently,  put the game out of reach with his turnovers.  He also was throwing behind a lot. Defense looked ok.  We need another person or two, but we didn't look bad there.  Our offense needs work.  AJ could have made more of an impact, if he would have gone to the ball instead of sitting on his route.  I really expected to win that one, but since we didn't show up for the 2nd or 3 quarters, we let them have it.  Oh yea,..what's up with Turk? Geez.  We're capable of being way better than what we put out on that field.

bennet did play well
and so did andre' davis.
but owen played horrible, until his TD.
that one first down catch that got knocked away was a tough one to hold on to, but he needs to stop fucking fumbling. dammit.
that was the turning point.
and then schaub threw up that duck to put it away.

ryans played like a pro bowler.
and the defense played very well.

kris lost his pro bowl status in my mind.
