Dr. James Andrews + Texans = Concern

As accomplished a surgeon as he undoubtedly is, forgive me for still getting chills everytime I read that Dr. James Andrews is getting within 100 yards of anyone employed by a team I root for.  Thus it was doubly cold today when I read that both Dunta Robinson and Ahman Green are bound for Birmingham this week.

Dunta, I understand.  He needs both his severed hamstring and torn ACL repaired, so going to the best in the business makes total sense.  (Side Note:  Dunta doesn't appear to be getting both operated on at the same time.  I'm no doctor, but I have to think it's because he can't.  I'm guessing it's because he needs to regain enough motion and go through sufficient rehab on one before Dr. Andrews can repair the other.  Having shredded an ACL myself, I feel confident stating that Dunta isn't going to be hopping around for a few months, which would thus logically put off the second surgery for awhile, which in turn would seemingly make him rather doubtful for the opening (if any) of the 2008 season.  Again, I'm just an idiot blogger, so I could be waaaaaaay off about this; in fact, nothing would make me happier than to be wrong here.  But I haven't read anything to the contrary, so I'm going to go ahead and let my worst fears percolate.  End pessmistic, unfounded medical analysis.)

Update [2007-11-8 10:25:46 by Tim]:: John McClain is reporting in today's Chronicle that Dunta is going to have both the ACL and hammie repaired today by Dr. Andrews. Whew.

But Ahman seeing Dr. Andrews?  That's scary and seemingly out of the blue.  Three (3) MRIs and the Texans still don't know what's wrong with his knee?  This is beginning to sound eerily familiar to the Domanick Davis Saga.  And we all know how that one ended.

Info on Injuries
I'm a first year medical student; if I get some time this weekend I'll do some digging and post on the website.  It was a brutal hit though, so I wouldn't be expecting miracles.

Any Updates?
on if Chris Taylor will be back for '08??
We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

Anyone know the Over/Under on what date Liston's wife killed him in his sleep?
