The Most Ridiculous Thing I've Read All Year

Hyperbole?  Maybe.  But before you accuse me of overreacting, take a gander at this ESPN article ranking the top sixty-four (64) QBs in the NFL.  If you haven't clicked yet, check out the teaser that I left at DGDB&D.

Something is seriously wrong with the world when Sage Rosenfels trails Billy Volek in any categorical analysis that doesn't begin with "Sucks More."

Par for the course
That's signature ESPN, right there.

ESPN
Eastern Sports Promoters Network, for sure, though I realize Volek is on the Chargers, look where they had VY (way too high at 13, I believe).

The sad thing is...
David Carr is ranked 63/64, and I still think that's a little bit too high.

And the Sage ranking is a crime against humanity. As is Vince Young in the top twenty (ahead of Schaub, for that matter).

They should do this like the power rankings where they update it every week. Give Sage three more starts and he'll work his way into the top thirty.

Ludicrous
I think the QB rankings have a lot to do with popularity and team records and less to do with small things like statistics and talent.  Schaub ought to be in the top half, and VY should be a few spots below him.

True that.
I thought this article was better:

It confirms my belief that Cutler was clearly the best QB from that draft. They're pretty high on Schaub too though.
