Around SBN: Dissecting Nick Diaz's Positive Drug Test

Houston 31, Denver 13

Dear Super Mario-

I am a heterosexual male.  Yet if you asked me to make out with you, I totally would.  You are my everything.  Cue the Richard Marx, deejay.

XOXO,
Tim

P.S.  Final box score here.

P.P.S.  As always, a much more detailed analysis/mash note when I sober up.

Agreed
Mario's becoming a superstar before our eyes.  This feeling of inevitable success is so strange after the conditioning of the first four years.

I'd add Kubes and Rick Smith to your list.

BRB does it again!
Apparently we can add Anthony Weaver to the list of those who read BRB.  I chalk his eight tackle performance to Tim's motivational chiding (see point ten).

I'm sure Richard Smith had something to do with it...

The entire defense, Solis...
seemed to be super-active.  Von was toasted all night as he seemed to have primary duties on Marshall, but you gotta love how the team swarmed to the ball.  With those crappy, USFL looking unis (yes, I hate them), it looked like a top college team playing a D-II.

Curiosity
Could the crowd noise be easily heard on the tube?  I know how loud it was where I was sitting, but I'm wondering how that translated across NFL Network.
We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

Actually,
I was going to ask about that. It seemed very quiet and I couldn't imagine why. I was pissed that the place wasn't going nuts, but I guess it was the broadcast.

You know
As rockin as Reliant was - and I know it was - the NFL Network didn't play it up.  I don't remember once them alluding to the crowd noise.  So to answer your question Shake - No, the "palpable buzz" didn't translate well to the big screen at the bar... but the players did look fired up.

Too Bad
When the defense was on the field, the crowd damn-near sounded like a college game.

Of course, when you get a lead in the beginning of the game and hold on for the entire game......wow, this feels wierd to be typing such things.

uni's
I saw AJ on the Official Team site front page and prayed to the fashion gods that the red pants were just a gimmicky marketing photo. Sadly that was not the case. Mittens is kicking himself that he never had an all red ensemble to work with.

True
But he probably wouldn't have even played in the game, as it would take hours to pick out the right color gloves to wear with an all red ensemble.

For sure
That's two weeks in a row that we really got after it.

love it!
swarming defense, no receivers got behind our last man, kept everything in front of them.  And after Selvin's first carry, we had him on lockdown.

Not to mention Cutler's face permanently smells like Mario's satchel after that tea-bagging.

Tim,
I actually sent the same note to Will Demps and offered a little more than a kiss. But, he is a handsome man so I guess it's OK.

heh
As long as you don't throw anything valuable to him, y'all should make a great couple.

Geezus
No kidding - Someone needs to teach Dempsy that its thumbs up when its below the stomache.

Rome
Jim Rome just made a blanket appology for everyone who ever doubted the decision to draft Mario.  Hilarious.  The bandwagon is rolling.
