Open Gameday Thread--Houston v. Tennessee

Today, your Houston Texans are in Nashville once again to meet up with the Titans of Tennessee.  Will LP Field be the site of yet another Texans turnaround?  Or will the Almighty permit Bud Adams to once again crush the hopes and dreams of the Houston faithful?  If the latter happens, I'm pretty sure I'm headed to jail.

Leave your pre-game, in-game, and post-game views and rants in the Comments below.  GO TEXANS!

Houston Texans: Wild Card 2007!

And now, some quick QB Stats
Matt Schaub: 189/284 (66.5%) for 2207 yards, 9 TDs, 9 INTs, 87.3 season rating

Vince Young: 162/264 (61.4%) for 1663 yards, 5 TDs, 13 INTs, 65.3 season rating

Clearly, the JUGEERNAUT (apologies to MDC) has the better passing QB.

Dayne Trayne
Ran right at Albert H and got 5.  Nice start.

by MDC on Dec 2, 2007 12:04 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

owen
thank god he went out of bounds

by pweco113 on Dec 2, 2007 12:06 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

That was AJ.
OD got tackled in the field of play and held the ball.

More importantly, Dayne is beating Tennessee like they stole his candy.

is probably bitching that Mario is nowhere to be seen at this point in the game.  He's been just invisible.

Forward progress was questionable
but the ball was clearly in.

I love it when that dude hits people on special teams.  He seems thrilled to be hitting people smaller than D-linemen.

Ineligible man downfield
Weird, someone came right at Vince on that play and just froze one yard from him.  I need to rewind.

by Triple347 on Dec 2, 2007 12:30 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

The first part is bad,
the second part is good.

Seriously, though, we might want to mix in a little run defense.

Pain-wise
he was still on the ground when they came back from commercial and he had people helping him to the lockerroom.  I'm guessing he won't be back.

As per Wikipedia
If it's sprained, it's just treated via drugs and some time off.  Maybe 2-4 weeks.

If it's separated, 6 weeks minimum.  So he might be back for Super Bowl XLII.

"We can't help but lose."

Sad, but true.

FRED
Redeems himself a little.

by MDC on Dec 2, 2007 2:44 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Just a little?
Ware likes him.  "Nice job for a rookie."  He's been saying things like that all day.   Even on that td, Bennett was apparently in the right place;  VY just threw it "perfectly."

by HtownJuggernaut on Dec 2, 2007 2:45 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Next Year
Dunta and Fred Bennett.  That's a pretty good tandem at CB.

Only a little
because I am not in a giving mood.  He can take up any difference in the redemption received and the redemption deserved with Jacoby Jones.

by MDC on Dec 2, 2007 2:47 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

But
has he looked good so far?  Strong tackles, tight coverage, etc.?  I only get what Ware decides to tell me.

by HtownJuggernaut on Dec 2, 2007 2:48 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Oh
Yeah, he's looked good.  I wouldn't say he was in perfect position for the Williams TD, though, if only because he didn't look past and he kind of ran past the ball.

Otherwise, he's looked really solid.

OH HELL YEAH
Pick by Fred Bennett!

I know it's 28-17, but
14 interceptions does not a good Qb make. No matter haow good of a "leader" he is.

Another o-line injury.  Studdard's come in.

I blame Casserly.

Sigh.  If we're ravaged by injuries one year, then it's just bad luck.  When it's every freaking year, I start to wonder.
