Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Indianapolis 38, Houston 15

Yet to say that the opposition was only 23 points better than the Texans today would be grossly inaccurate.  Final box score here.  I'm off to read up on the cap implications of cutting Travis Johnson before the plane leaves Indianapolis.  Detailed Post-Game Breakdown, as painful as it will be to draft, will be up tomorrow.

Late-Hit Johnson
TJ might be the dumbest professional (I shouldn't really use that word) football player I've ever seen.  He hurts more than he helps.  As he shows, it can be a terrible thing to be an intense player with a motor that doesn't stop.

You got it, Tim: cut his fat ass.

As for the rest of the game, I have two words: donkey balls.

What did the five fingers say to the face?
SLAP!

There was a QB controversy coming to a rolling boil right about the time Sage threw that TD strike to K-Dub on the opening drive; but, Sage put that to bed when he kept confusing Bob Sanders for Andre Johnson.

I'd like to give a special thanks to CBS sports for taking the game off TV midway through the 3rd quarter.  Without their quick thinking and decisive action, I may not have been here to blog about it.

Guys
Haven't posted anything here in a while, but wanted to say don't get too down on your team.  Having only watched the Texans a handful of times this year(both Colts games, maybe another game or two), I have seen quite a bit to be excited about.  The Johnson/Walters combo is very good thing, and Daniels seems pretty good too, if you can land a solid at worst RB, you'll be in very good shape offensively.  The Mario/Okoye tandem is really something, but get used to Mario being held, it's happened to Freeney for years, holding has to be the least called penalty in the game but one with the biggest impact frequently I think.

So many good young building blocks is a good thing, although playing in the absolute toughest division in football can hurt.  Here's to a win next week for Houston, and one helluva rivalry with the Colts for years to come.

it still hurts
We are a little down, yes, because we did not expect a whoopin' that was more fitting of 2 years ago.

But coming off two impressive victories in a row, I thought we'd at least put up a fight, maybe keep it close into the 4th.  Instead, we pulled our panties down and grabbed our ankles.  It was disheartening.
