Houston 28, Tampa Bay 14

As solid a win as we've seen in some time, if not all season.  I'm going to ponder this some more, but I may well submit that today featured the best defensive performance that we've seen this year.  Final box score here. As always, expect a far more detailed analysis of the game tomorrow.

Murphy's Law
It figures that this would be the game I couldn't watch due to travelling for work.  I was able to listen to the 1st half on AM-610.

I would write something witty or clever now, but I am still recovering from the dumbing-down I took from 1.5 hours of Andre Ware.

We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

When I listen to Andre Ware
I understand what Randall McMurphy felt like at the end of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest."

thanks to all...
who contributed to the live thread.  I couldn't watch the game because KEYE in Austin sucks my hairy, sweaty testicles.*  I had a great feeling about this game, and I am damn disappointed I couldn't watch.

* I actually just shaved.  Wanna feel?  So smoooooooth!

i feel ya, BFD
Well, not literally.  I'll just take your word for it.

While it was fun watching the Cowgals struggle (even though they came back to win) it was so painful to have to watch the Texans on ESPN GameCast.

I plan on being at Scholz Garten Thursday with a few friends to watch us beat Denver.  Any Austin Texans should join.

I have a final on Thursday.  I'll try to make it, but I can't promise anything.

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
