Seems like Smith and Kubes are acting to shore up the perimeter of the OL with this selection.  Frye is a project, but you have to feel encouraged by this:

"With patient coaching, someone could unearth that hidden talent."

In other words, it looks like the Texans rolled the dice on upside here.  Although I thought Mason Crosby merited a serious look at this spot, this could be a HUGE value if Frye is able to lock down a starting spot at tackle in the coming seasons.
