BRB's Very First Post Dedicated To A Rookie Free Agent Punter

The anti-Stanley bloodlust around these parts has reached a point that I'll take any opportunity I can get to trumpet the qualifications of potential replacements.  From Lance Zierlien's observations of Day Seven of OTAs:

"Rookie punter Eric Wilford from Florida consistently boomed the ball during special teams practice. The ball comes off of his foot much more cleanly and with much more "boom" than it does with Chad Stanley."

Dare we dream that the undrafted rookie overtakes the grizzly, underperforming vet and makes the squad?  If there is a higher power, He will make this happen.  And then I'll be the first clown in Houston to regularly sport a Wilford jersey at games...

The Chad, he has unusual powers.
Personally, I would hate to entrust your faith in a higher power to whether the Texans will keep the undrafted rookie over the vet.  The Chad has some unusual powers.

The Chad has a cut hand, can't hold a FG try, Rosenfels hold for him, and then gets a broken hand making a fluke tackle.  Coincidence, I don't think so.

Wilford jersey or no, at least you wear a jersey to games. :)

Re: The Chad
There can be little doubt that Stanley has unusual powers.  My theory is that he made some kind of pact with the devil five years ago.  There's simply no other explanation as to why he's still on the roster.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...
