Your Houston Texans Are Still Undefeated

For the first time in franchise history, the Houston Texans are 2-0.  I am beyond ecstatic, particularly considering how this one started (e.g., a 14-0 hole on the road).  Much, much, MUCH more on this later, but here's the official box score from today's HUGE win over Carolina.  Leave your thoughts in the Comments below, and revel in the fact that our team is the cat's pajamas.  Or the bee's knees, if you prefer.

First!
Seriously, though, see my signature line.  Houston is a playoff-caliber team this year, and in the AFC, no less.

What an awesome day
We took the kids to the Houston Zoo today to have some great family time, as it seems I will have to travel for work very soon.
{insert "Where are your priorities?" jokes here}

And to come home, check BRB 1st thing and see this.....well, it's just the f'n cherry on top.

And looking at the box score, Viva Okoye bitches.  Seriously?  2 sacks & a forced fumble.  We should trade this kid.  He's a total bust.  I vote to continue this alternating of badass games b/n he & Super Mario.

I'll add something more meaninful (maybe) after I kick the DVR into gear.  Go Texans!

We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

Houston Zoo?
Did you see any of BFD's relatives?

Yep
But for some reason they were all behind fences.

thanks!
For the live blog.  No TV coverage here in Austin, again, and we couldn't even find coverage on the radio.  Sheyat, I ain't even seen a highlight on the espn yet, either.

Yes, liston, I am still a douchebag, and it sucks.

At least
you got to watch the Titans and Colts.  That made your day, right?

Right?

DAMMIT!
Not only do I hate you for this, but I hate you for the whole sex thread.  HATE!!!!!

I seek solace in the fact that I {heart} Appy State.  even if I don't know jack about them.

Game, set, and match...well, you still.  DAMMIT!!!!

Watch how I watched today.
myp2p.eu

Download Sopcast and make it so.

Also, App State jokes don't phase me because that's the game that will wind up ridding my life of another Carr.

Um...
I mean, how I would have watched it, were such things legal.  Because I would not ever encourage others to break the law.

OK...
honored to see just one play - the AJ 33 yard catch - on them espn tv highlights.  they so suck.  BUT, the commentator type guy (Michael Smith?) said that a team led by Zoolander would've folded down 14 on the road, but this team didn't.

No.  Shit.  Beetches.

replying to myself yet again...
...with another random thought.

How do you think Zoolander felt watching the Texans not suck without him?*  Do you think he felt, like, bad?  Stupid?  Far, far below Darcy?  If so, kittens everywhere just smiled.

* is that a triple negative sentence?

My favorite part
was that the first extended shot of him on the sideline showed him touching his hair with a white glove on his throwing hand.

I hope it is documented
...that I've stated on this site, before the season started, that the Texans would be a playoff team this year. Also, that Viva Okoye would be a stud. Because it won't be long until others outside the Texans fan base are agreeing.

Another great win! They can't deny that Carolina is a good opponent, and thus an impressive victory on the road.

I'm looking forward to our matchup this weekend.

It's written in stone
Well, it's really stored in binary on some server in a room with enough A/C to make a pregnant woman comfortable.

Who would've thought that the 2 Texans/Colts games would be the one to watch as a measuring stick of the AFC South?  You, us......that's about it.

Here's to one hell of a game coming up in 6 days.  Could you spread the word around the Indy coaching staff that Petey Faggins is someone you definitely DO NOT want to throw towards?  Thanks.

Got it
Don't throw towards Faggins. Whew! That helps. I sent the memo.

I owe you a big one, so let me return the favor. Don't bother trying to bull rush against our rookie LT, Ugoh. It's a complete waste of time, he's the Rock of Gibraltar against anything resembling a bull rush. A more advantageous strategy to incorporate would be to keep Mario Williams on the bench so that he will be well rested for future games. This will serve to confuse the Colts, causing Peyton to make bad audibles to account for this new defensive strategy.

Trust me, you'll be the better for it if you'll tell Mario to NOT try to bull rush Manning.

Texans Manhandled the Panthers
I can't point to any one thing and say "that's what cost us the game". We couldn't run, the passing was sporatic and the Texans got good pressure on Jake at times. Okoye was impressive and we heard nothing from Jenkins. Defense didn't do any better. Couldn't stop the short passing game and you got yardage on the ground when you needed it.

I predicted a special teams score for Houston but that was ugly. Turned the game.

Just a damn good win guys. Color me impressed. Houston looked like a play-off caliber team yesterday.

I blog the Panthers at www.catscratchreader.com

Great start for the Texans
Glad to see the Texans off to such a good start, the game vs. Indy will be a fun one to watch for sure.  I'm glad to hear Okoye had such a good game, I really like that kid and can't wait to watch him play.  I just got my DirecTV system installed in my new house today, so I'll be able to catch the Texans a few times this year along with my Niners and Colts.

Looking forward to a good game!
