Texans Show Interest In Pacman?

From PFT's Rumor Mill:

In a development that either is evidence of the value of a solid cornerback-kick returner or proof that pro football teams are still willing to overlook the turdish behavior of talented players, it appears that multiple teams are interested in Tennessee Titans cornerback Pacman Jones.

According to the Tennesseean, the Cowboys, the Dolphins, the Lions, the Raiders, the Chiefs, the Texans, the Saints, and the Patriots have expressed "at least some level of interest."

Our guess is that someone is puffing a bit in the hopes of driving up the level of compensation that the Titans get for the sixth overall pick in the 2005 draft.  Miami V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells has said that he doesn't want "thugs and hoodlums," and Jones (in our opinion) is both.  And if the Patriots expressed "some level if interest" in Jones, the specific level of interest likely was "hardly any."

Then, we wouldn't be surprised to learn that Parcells and his son-in-law, Pats V.P. of player personnel Scott Pioli, have agreed to feign interest in Jones in the hopes that Jets G.M. Mike Tannenbaum would feel compelled to plunge into the bidding for a guy who would then contribute to a potential internal collapse of the franchise.

Aside from the fact that Pacman hasn't even been reinstated by Roger Goodell and may well miss part or all of the 2008 season, I cannot fathom a scenario where the Texans would have any substantive interest in this criminal.  Bringing Pacman on would seem to run directly against every standard and value Bob McNair has preached about since bringing the NFL back to Houston.  With all due respect to BFD, I'm vehemently opposed to even considering the option.  Let Pacman fulfill his destiny and become a Cowboy.

Not Happening
With our reputation for taking high character guys, I just can't see this happening.  Ever.

Mistake number one:
believing Pro Football Talk.  Credibility is at a premium there.  I'd rather get my football news from Us Weekly or Cosmo.
Tell me again why I follow sports?

re: Us Weekly
So, on topic of high character, I hear that Lohan is an unrestricted free agent.....
We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

Oh yeah
I'd like to play with her unrestricted free agents.

Er... uh... anyhoo!

Re: "Tight End"
I'm going out on a limb and saying it's not all that tight.

perhaps
But I think that, at the least, it calls for a fact-finding mission.

Any volunteers?  No?  Then I proudly step forward for the sake of the Texan blogging community.

I just want
To see her Tight end in a three point stance.

I've got the perfect position for her
Actually, I've got several.
To DE or not to DE... that is the question.

So
She's like Kordell Stewart with big boobs?

Slash
Funny - that's the nickname of her naughty part.

Make it rain!!!
Here's where you're wrong, Tim.

First, the cowpokes specialize in two premium areas of illegalities:

  1. Child molesting
  2. Hard-core drugs, preferably coke, crack, and/or Troy Aikman's jock.
Secondly, the Texans are obviously a sexual team.  I respectfully submit into evidence:
  1. Fred Weary
  2. Will Demps
  3. Kevin Bentley
  4. Will Demps (he really does deserve two mentions)
and, for #5 and just for Matt, Anna-Megan.

Pacman's problem is that he likes women.  In fact, he loves women, so much so that he insists on showering them with wads of bills.  There's nothing wrong with that; he's just showing he cares.

Personally, I'd like for the Texans to sign him so he and I can hang out together.

Why must you try and crush my dreams, Tim?  Oh tell me why!

Loves them so much
He's willing to grab them by their hair and slam their head on a stage... you know, just to show how much he cares.

On the other hand, he is your prototypical playmaker.  Can do it both in the return game and on defense.

Off field - idiot.  On field - phenom.

I'm conflicted.

To DE or not to DE... that is the question.

*sigh*
Yeah, that's pretty effed up right there, SOLIS.

I guess part of my optimism is that people screw up all the time, and as somebody who has gotten a couple of second chances, I don't mind giving somebody else a chance to screw up with me.

That said, I didn't exactly beat up a Russian stripper.

In Soviet Russia...
stripper beats you!

Caution - Slippery slope
One word can trip Tim's switch.  Let me demonstrate the six degrees of separation that leads to Scott.

Yakov --> Yakov Smirnoff --> Smirnoff Ice --> Queer like Zima --> Tim drinks three--> Bam, you got Scott.

We kid because we care.

To DE or not to DE... that is the question.

Football is stressful
And the only way Pacman can relieve that stress is to get booby-slapped by a coked out Russian stripper.

There are worse habits in life.

Maybe it's my lack of sleep talking...
but I find this entire line of reasoning to be highly persuasive.
