Mock Draft Board
A list of the possible draft picks, so that when it's our turn to pick on Mocking The Draft, Tim has an easy job, and we all get input.
This is on a Google Spreadsheet. As of right now, Me and Shake have put up our lists on the Spreadsheet. It requires an invite to be able to edit it, so if you want to add your two cents to this list, shoot me an email at tailgateandy@gmail.com
The spreadsheet can be viewed at http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pGMwxdqg00qHc0LoWiW8cSQ&hl=en

Great Idea, Andy
- McKelvin
- Clady
- Dorsey
- Rodgers-Cromartie
- Jenkins
- Williams
- Harvey
- Ellis
- Merling
- Otah
- Albert
- Balmer
- Mendenhall
- Talib
- Groves
- Stewart
- Rivers
Very good--generally
The other issue is that I have to believe Talib is not even on the Texans' draft board due to character issues.
FYI
Thats an interesting pick
Not that it affects the Texans much, but take a look at this article comparing the two stud DTs.
Pick
OL Chris Williams/ Albert
CB McKelvin/Jenkins
DE Harvey
They bypass Mendenhall and Stewart. Another draft controversy erupts.
Back to the point of this diary
Look, obviously you can post just about whatever you want, just about where ever you want. The point of this diary, however, was not to debate who should be the pick at 18, but rather to rank the prospects, so that when the 18th pick rolls around in the Mocking the Draft mock draft, we can take the BPA at those positions.
Part of the idea, was that if we could decide, or get positive feedback on a ranked list of the prospects, we could come to some sort of meeting of the minds, and Tim could pick the BPA when our turn rolls around.
I thought it would be easiest to compile the lists on Google Spreadsheets. I haven't used it before this little project, so I didn't realize that I couldn't let everyone contribute automatically. If you want to add to the lists we have, shoot me an email, and I'll invite you so that you can edit the lists, make your own, whatever. If you want, make your own list.

I Gave You What You Asked For
I gave you five players the Texans are likely to target, at the positions they are targeting, in order of preference. Some will be gone. Some will be there.
Updated Input
- Branden Albert OG/OT? - Highly rated. Has been linked to the Texans and Broncos. Plays OG, but is thought to be a potential OT. Can start in 2008. May or may not be the LT we are looking for, but very low bust potential.
- Kenny Phillips S - The Texans need help in the secondary. Phillips looks like the best choice. Can start in 2008. Low bust potential. Improves a position of weakness.
- J. Stewart RB - Didn't want to go RB, but when you look at the players left on the board, it's hard to pass him up. Would have significant playing time. But theoretically, this is not a position of great need.
- Aqib Talib CB - Great athlete. Versatile. But he has some holes in his game. Can be beaten deep.
Dorsey Gone
McKelvin Gone
Ryan the Raven
Cincy is on the clock...and it appears they are taking Rivers.
Damn it
And it looks like Buffalo is going WR...
Yep
Denver on the clock...
Denver
Zoolander's other former team is now on the clock...
Hypothetically hijacked!
I pretending disappointment.
Carolina @ #13
Chicago on the clock, and appears to be going for an 'illegal' trade. I told you it doesn't matter what the supposed rules say.
Interesting
