Antwaun Molden Is The Newest Texan!
Profile here. Obviously, the Texans were happy to address the glaring hole at CB with this pick. And the more I think about it, this pick smells a bit to me like Fred Bennett Version 2.0; if that's the case, we'll be thrilled with Molden.
Interesting thing to me is that Smithiak left a handful of better known CBs on the board in favor of taking Molden. Clearly, they see something they really like in this kid despite the fact that he played at a smaller school. Jacoby Jones Part II?
What do you think? Fire away below.

Back to my thoughts about no force-out rule anymore...
He's athletic
With all that said - I'm praying hard for the return of Dunta.

Same could be said
We addressed WR in free agency and the draft. Now we have a rock solid corp.
We brought in the ZBS Guru and a couple of impact players in Myers and hopefully Brown.
We now have a log jam at RB. If Chris Brown can stay healthy, he may can dance his way to the starting slot (cheesy I know) with Slaton/Walker being the change of pace.
The defensive backfield only became a serious problem when everyone went down w/ injury. Enter Ray Rhodes and a couple of athletic speedsters in Reeves and now Molden.
The future is bright fellas.

No Godfrey
But I suppose this choice is just as good...
I wonder if Godfrey will get his tattoo removed?

More On Molden
How he fits: He is strictly a potential player. Molden has good athletic skills and size, but will only make an impact in sub defensive packages and special teams. He fits better in the Texans' zone schemes rather than being on an island. He has good intangibles teams look for in young corners.
