Giants CB Amukamara has high-ankle sprain (Rotoworld)

Giants RCB Prince Amukamara has been diagnosed with a right high-ankle sprain. The word comes via the CBS telecast. It's a minor victory that Amukamara has avoided a break, but high-ankle sprains can often linger for more than a month. Amukamara is now extremely doubtful to be ready for Opening Night on September 5, meaning the G-Men will be forced to turn to Bruce Johnson or Michael Coe opposite Corey Webster as they wait for a timetable on Terrell Thomas (knee). Amukamara, who was limited to seven games by a foot injury as a rookie, went down untouched on a first-quarter tackle of Brandon Marshall. Source: New York Daily News

DRC "practices" Friday, might play on Sunday?

... So says Sal Pal. More likely, it's just a transparent stunt by Reid to try and alter Belicheck's gameplan. Other sources are saying DRC just kind of stood around at practice even though he suited up. However, if DRC did play, it would be a great evaluating tool for two reasons: - See if he has any heart, playing injured - See if he plays better on the outside rather than the slot. Neither Aso nor Samuel are gonna be benched in favor of DRC when healthy, so this might be our only chance this year to see what DRC can do on the outside.... to see if he can fill in after Samuel departs or if they need to draft another CB early.
