Roster news per the ever reliable Nick Scurfield, the Texans have (a) placed DE Jesse Nading on injured reserve, (b) signed S Quintin Demps, and (c) re-signed DT Malcolm Sheppard to the practice squad after waiving him from the active roster last week.
Demps is a free safety and former Philadelphia Eagle (2008-09). He's got experience as a kick returner, finishing fourth in the NFL in kick return yards in 2008. He was cut at the start of the season and signed with the UFL's Hartford Colonials last month.
