In a move indicative of the Changing of the Guard(s), original Texan Seth Payne and OT Zach Wiegert were cut by the Texans today. Both players had suffered torn ACLs during the 2006 season. My personal opinion is that Seth Payne should have been given a chance to restructure his deal, based on the consensus opinion that he is the consummate professional and a powerful, positive force in the locker room. Wiegert's a decent player, but he's certainly replaceable, especially coming off major knee surgery.
