Despite my earlier categorization of Eric Moulds' possible release as a "salary cap casualty," it appears that I was dead wrong. According to Kubes, the decision to cut the Texans No. 2 WR was purely a "football decision."
That's pretty surprising to me. Sure, Moulds isn't the burner that he once was, but he was still a solid possession receiver on a team that features few offensive weapons. Is Kevin Walter really the team's Number Two now? I've gone on record wondering why Walter wasn't used more last season. Are the execs at Reliant are thinking the same thing?
