ESPN's Len Pasquarelli reports that veteran spheroid Sam Adams [was] scheduled to visit the Texans this week to discuss a free agent deal for next season. Maybe I'm too optimistic regarding a 34 year old DT coming off of knee surgery, but I think Adams is exactly the 'type' of run-stopping force that the Texans desperately need on their D-line. Maybe Adams won't work out, maybe he will, but I am hopeful that this flirtation is illustrative of Smithiak's recognition that plugging their D-line holes with a small planet like Sam Adams would be a very productive move.
