In the wake of Steve McKinney (knee) and Cedric Killings' (neck) arrival on the IR, your Houston Texans re-signed WR David Anderson and TE Joel Dressen. Despite catching a nice TD pass in the preseason against Cowboys, Anderson was released in the last round of cuts on 08/31/07. Dressen surprisingly made the squad out of camp as the fourth TE, but was released on 09/14/07 when, coincidentially, Cedric Killings was re-signed to the active roster.
Given the lack of healthy options at WR, I completely understand Anderson's return. But a fourth TE? Considering the injury problems at RB and the talent concerns in the secondary? Interesting choice by Smithiak.
